New, Affordable & Compact Solution to Loading Bar Diameters as Small as 0.8 mm
LNS has long been the industry leader for reliably loading very small bar stock. With the new GT 112-E automatic magazine bar feeder, LNS takes the capability to the next level while significantly reducing the required floor space.
The new GT 112-E automatic magazine bar feeder for bar stock diameters from 0.8 mm to 11 mm (12.7 mm with bar preparation), comes in two versions, one for 12’-2” bars and another to accommodate 6’-6” bars. Each model requires less floor space than the Tryton bar feeders.
Although economically priced, GT 112-E is loaded with productivity-enhancing features, including a dual U-shaped guiding channel with a patented sectional guiding channel cover, combined with a self-centering bar clamping system that matches the entire diameter range of the lathe.
The single pitch screw magazine keeps very small bars separated for consistent and reliable bar loading, and a generous magazine tray holds up to 30 bars with 7 mm diameter and under, and 15 bars with diameters over 7 mm.
Setup is a snap, taking two minutes or less. The operator simply inputs bar diameter, feed out length and guiding element diameter into the prompting, handheld, touch screen remote control (HMI). The GT 112-E then automatically sets pushing torque, forward speed and feeding length.
To insure continuous, reliable and safe operation, an electro-mechanical headstock synchronization system keeps bar and headstock movements perfectly in sync. For additional safety and to boost productivity, the GT 112-E employs a joint pipe spindle reduction system that completely contains the bar and eliminates the need for spindle liners.
Options include a 400 mm Z-axis bar feeder retraction system with safety switch that provides easy access for machine maintenance, and a 2-position adjustable retraction system with dual safety switches to accommodate non-guide bushing applications.
